Inspiration Today from a Poor 1999 Prediction

Jeff Bezos was thought to be just another middleman with a silly business paradigm.

As reported by NDTV, the Barron’s magazine in 1999 predicted that Amazon would come crashing down.

Jeff Bezos recently took to twitter to comment on the article with “Listen and be open, but don’t let anybody tell you who you are. This was just one of the many stories telling us all the ways we were going to fail. Today, Amazon is one of the world’s most successful companies and has revolutionized two entirely different industries.”

There were many replies to Bezos’ tweet, including Elon Musk who recently surpassed the Bezos as the world’s richest person. Also weighing in was Netflix CEO Reed Hastings who had this to say:

The deeper the doubts, the sweeter the success.
